Sunshine Committee Spotlight: September Color Wars!

We kicked off this month’s Faculty & Staff activities with a burst of energy and creativity—Color Wars!  Every department showed up and showed out, dressed to impress and ready to represent. The spirit, the smiles, and the splash of color made it a day to remember!

Each school will have its own post featuring important updates, such as orientation schedules, supply lists, transportation information, registration reminders, faculty highlights, special events, and other announcements to help students and families start the year with confidence.

We encourage parents, guardians, students, faculty, staff, and community members to check back regularly as schools share their progress and celebrate milestones leading up to the first day of classes. Together, we are building safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environments where every student can thrive.

A library of open education resources and a network of Virgin Islands educators who are dedicated to using high-quality, openly-licensed educational resources.

The worldwide Open Educational Resources (OER) movement is rooted in the human right to access high-quality education. This shift in educational practice is about participation and co-creation, which offers opportunities for systemic change in teaching and learning content through engaging educators in new participatory processes and effective technologies for engaging with learning. By joining this movement, the USVI ushers in a wave of openly-licensed digital resources modified to adjust to the needs of our students.
