Graduation Requirements
Twenty-six (26) credits are required for graduation in the following areas, with a cumulative average of at least 70%. Credit requirements are subject to change and are established by the V.I. Board of Education.
English 4 credits
(English 9, 10, 11, & 12) Advance Placement classes are available also.
Science 3 credits
( Must Include General Biology I)
Mathematics 4 credits
(Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Financial Literacy)
Social Studies 3 credits
(V.I. / Caribbean History, U.S. History, World History)
Physical Education 1 Credit
( One full year of JROTC can be substituted for Physical Education)
Health 1 Credit
( One full year of JROTC can be substituted for Health Education)
Foreign Language 2 Credits
Fine Arts 1 credit
Vocational Educational 1 credit
Other Electives 6 credits
Community Service 100 hours
Community service must be done at a non-profit agency. Students CANNOT be paid for the Community Service Hours

Math & Science Magnet Program

The St. Croix Educational Complex High School’s Mathematics and Science Magnet four-year honors program provides an academically challenging environment in which each student’s educational opportunities are maximized.
We believe that careers in math and science fields are an essential component of the 21st century; therefore, we strive to serve the Virgin Islands as a model for academic excellence.
To be admitted to the program, a student must:
· Be currently enrolled in Honors Math, Science and English and earn a minimum grade of 85% each of their classes.
· If not enrolled in honors classes, have an average of 90% or higher in Math, Science and English.
· Turn in a completed application package by the due date to MAGNET Admissions Team.
· Successfully pass the entrance exam.
· Successfully complete entrance interview.
*Participants are selected for the program based on entry test scores, school transcript and teacher recommendations.
Grading System
Students require a grade of 70% or above in order to pass a class. A student who receives grades between 60 and 69 are eligible for the summer credit recovery (summer school) program. If a student receives a grade lower than a 60 in a class, the student has to take the class over in a subsequent year.
